My role is multifaceted – from managing the club and its memberships to ensuring the overall health and well-being of our members. Beyond the mat, my commitment to our community’s safety is paramount; as the club’s registered first aider, I’ve undertaken specialised trauma first aid training to ensure peace of mind and safety for everyone on their Jiu Jitsu journey.

Outside of the  world of Jiu Jitsu and HALO management, I’ve worked in the IT industry for over 30 years. My career has taken me across the globe, from the vibrant cities of Asia Pacific to the historic expanses of Europe, and through the diverse cultures of the Middle East and Africa. In my career, I’ve occupied several senior leadership roles, managing teams and business units around the world. This wealth of experience has been invaluable in keeping HALO JIU JITSU UK on course and ensuring our club thrives in all aspects.

Outside the dojo, my passion for personal and professional development finds an outlet in my executive and performance coaching business. As a qualified career coach and mentor, I derive immense satisfaction from aiding individuals in reaching their full potential, guiding them through their development in both personal and career aspects. Coaching is more than a profession to me; it’s a vocation that allows me to witness and contribute to the transformative journeys of those I work with.

 My interest in human behaviour has led me to become a qualified observer of human behaviour and an advanced motorcycle instructor. These skills enrich my coaching and mentoring practices and reflect my approach to life – observant, thoughtful, and always keen to empower others.

 Away from the mat, coaching, or club management, Enduro motorcycling provides me with an adrenaline rush and a sense of freedom matched by few other activities. 

It goes without saying that my greatest joy is found in spending quality time with Louise my wife and our three children; the youngest of which also trains Jiu Jitsu!), sharing experiences and creating lasting memories.

At HALO JIU JITSU UK, we are more than just a club; we are a family. My journey has underscored the importance of community, leadership, and personal growth. I am here to support every member of our family, ensuring that our club remains a place where everyone can thrive, learn, and excel together.
